Installing The Skyline Connector

• Install the Skyline Desktop Connector

How Data Is Extracted Into Skyline

The desktop connector (Shim) will be installed on the TPP Gateway PC, and permanently logged on in a mode which causes the configuration to work purely in TPP data gathering mode.

A user at the site will configure the app with the location of the TPP strategic reporting output.

The app will then do the following:

• Look for extracts in C:\ProgramData\Informatica\Data Extracts

  • The main folder contains the latest extract

  • The archived subfolder contains dated folders where the previous extract is moved before the next is started. To build up a complete list of deltas, the ‘archived’ folders must be uploaded along with the main folder.

  • There is one manifest file per extract - the presence of the manifest file indicates that a folder contains an extraction, and is only written once that extraction is complete.

• Zip required files (per extract), renaming the individual files in line with TPP download file format (including agreement, extract date and table name).

• Upload files to AWS

• Remove files which have successfully uploaded, or are no longer needed.Email Support@ishealth.co.uk once TPP have activated Informatica (NACS CODE)
