Before you can start the configuration of the strategic reporting extract for Skyline, the PC running in Gateway mode needs to be located. This will need to be logged into TPP as a user who has Download Strategic Reporting Extracts access. If you don’t have a PC running Gateway mode or your practice are new to Strategic Reporting please see TPP - Strategic Reporting For Skyline - Setup a new Gateway before configuring the Skyline extract below. NOTE: TPP have advised Informatica that all practices who use document scanning have a PC running in Gateway mode. Once the strategic report for Skyline extracts has been setup and activated by TPP, the report will extract data from SystmOne on a daily basis and save the files in the path configured in the report below. |
Note |
---|
You If you’re opting to save the Skyline extracts on C: you will need to know the Gateway PC name to correctly configure the scheduled job section below. The PC name can be found by right clicking the MY PC icon on the Gateway PC desktop > Properties - Note the Device Name |
...
Note |
---|
Note: the extract user must not log into the TPP Gateway using their Smartcard as the Gateway will logout once the Smartcard is removed. |
Note |
---|
Our preferred location for saving the Skyline extracts is a network drive as this gives the practice more flexibility when uploading the data into Skyline. You will need to ensure that the gateway PC can access the selected network drive and that all users have read / write access to the folder you’re going to create below. If you’d prefer to use C: on the gateway PC this is also covered below. If your not sure or would like assistance please contact Informatica Support - our contact details are above |
Creating The Data Extracts Folders On A Network Drive
Note, this is only needed if you've opted to save your Skyline extracts on a network drive (our preferred method)
Click on File Explorer on the task bar
Browse to your chosen network drive where you want the extract files to be saved on e.g. N:
Create the folder Skyline
Within the Skyline folder create Informatica
Within Informatica create the folders Data Extracts and New
Check that all staff can read / write to the Data Extracts folder
Configuring The Extract Report
Note, if you’ve opted to use a network drive for the extracts you do not need to be on the gateway PC to configure the report however the gateway PC MUST have access to the selected network drive. If you’ve opted to save the extracts on C: you must setup the report on the gateway PC.
The user granted Download Strategic Reporting Extracts access needs to log into TPP running in Gateway mode.

Configure as follows:-
Run On: Use
If you’ve opted to save the extracts on a network drive or a shared drive on a different PC, the default of Gateway is fine
If you’ve opted for C: on gateway use the dropdown and select the gateway PC name noted above - not GATEWAY.
Note |
---|
Note: The report will run and save the extract files on the PC named to the path you’ve set above. By selecting C: and ‘runs on’ as GATEWAY, there’s the potential for data loss . We’ve come across several practices with branches (if you have more than 1 gateway PC ) and or run gateway mode icons on different PCs which staff sometimes log into; this impacts where the extracted files are stored and impacts Skyline. When the extract report runs it saves to C: of whichever PC is running gateway mode at that time. Please make sure you select the gateway PCs actual PC name off the list . if you’ve opted for C: |
