TPP in Gateway mode can only be run on 1 PC within the practice. Gateway mode is TPP logged in as normal but granted additional memory in the background to run the extracts. TPP will look and feel exactly the same as a normal login however the word Gateway will be at the top of the TPP window. Before creating a Gateway mode shortcut or giving a new user Strategic Reporting access, we recommend you check with the Practice Manager or TPP helpdesk as to whether Gateway mode is already running on a PC. For Strategic Reporting Extracts access, it’s recommended that a Cauldicott Caldicott guardian account is used however this is the practices responsibility. The member of staff will need to be logged into TPP running Gateway mode 24/7 with the exception of rebooting the PC. There’s no reason why the user should not always log on in Gateway mode. |
