The Skyline Desktop Connector is needed for Skyline to interact directly with your clinical system. Once installed, the Desktop Connector will remain hidden in the right hand system tray, under hidden icons, unless an action is needed. You can always maximise the Skyline by right clicking the icon under the hidden icons and select ‘show cues’.

And Installing The Desktop Connector
Info |
---|
Note: The Desktop Connector installation is linked to your individual Windows login profile on the PC and not all users. If you use different PCs within the practice you’ll need to install the Desktop Connector on each PC the first time you login. The reason for the installation being linked to a users profile rather than shared for all users is that no local admin rights are needed to install or upgrade the Desktop Connector. |

Note: Though the Desktop Connector is running in the system tray you still need to log into Skyline. If you right click the Skyline icon in the hidden icons you can check the login status or maximise the cue card if this is hidden. The Skyline login box will also open when you first log into Windows. |
