In the top Skyline menu you’ll see the there is a Pending Data icon with a number displayed - this is the amount of patients who have failed to have SNOMED codes added

...

This the number of patients for whom action is required to add SNOMED codes into their clinical record (most likely because ‘add code’ failed). The number may be high if this was generated when running recalls.

In pre V6.5, practices often saw an error when adding multiple consultations or recalls to a patients notes.

In V6.5 we’ve changed the workflow .has changed

  • User adds one or more codes to the clinical system for one or more patients e.g from Health Check, Calculator, Cohorts etc:

  • All codes for all patients will be saved as Patient Interactions in the Pending Data screen with the status ‘Queued for filing by username@nhs.net'

  • When the DTC is running the codes will be pushed into the Principle Clinical System on a patient by patient basis without any further user interaction.

    • Recall codes added by Clinical Support Assistants from Cohorts will be filed provided the DTC is running and they are logged in.

    • At the current time only Clinicians can access Pending Data screen so any codes that fail must be re-posted by a clinician.

  • If the DTC is not running the user will be notified but that will not prevent the codes being added into Pending Data.

  • When the DTC is next run same user next logs in and runs the DTC it will pick up and start filing the pending data automaticallyAll codes for all patients will be saved as Patient Interactions in the queued codes in Pending Data screen with the status ‘Queued for filing’

  • When the DTC is running the codes will be pushed into the Principle Clinical System on a patient by patient basis

  • The Status automatically.

  • If a different user logs in to the DTC the queued codes will not be automatically filed but the new user can choose to multiselect the Patient Interactions and choose ‘Add to record’ to queue the codes for filing.

  • The status of the patient interaction will update to reflect the current status e.g ‘filing filing in progress’

  • Completed interactions will be removed from the default view of the Pending Data Screen (available to view by filtering)

  • Patient Interactions that fail to add will remain in Pending Data with a detailed error message

  • Pending Data count will be shown in DTC and Pending Data screen and will count only Patient Interactions requiring action (e.g For Approval or Error)

  • Patient Interactions in an error state may be re-added to the Principal Clinical System from the Pending Data screen once the error has been resolved.

  • Filter and sort options have been added to the Pending Date screen to facilitate this

  • Multiselect and has been enabled on a page by page basis so multiple codes can be added at once

Note

Please contact Informatica Support on support@ishealth.co.uk if you have errors in Pending Data as the error needs to be resolved BEFORE the codes can be posted.

Reposting SNOMED codes saved in Pending Data (error resolved)

Info

Note, if the codes post OK you’ll see a green ‘Data Successfully Filed ‘xn patient interaction successfully filed ' message . If there’s still a red ‘Failed To Save Patient’ message in both the UI and DTC. If one or more patient interactions fail there will be a red message ‘Error filing codes….. with details of success and failures’ please contact Informatica Support as this needs further investigation.
