Install Informatica client on a Client PC

Before installing the client on a PC you will need to know the name of your Informatica server, this can be found by logging into Informatica on another PC and click on SUPPORT (left hand side) and DETAILS (right hand side). Make a note of the DATABASE SERVER (Informatica Server).

Windows 10

Instructions

  1. Hold down the Windows key (white square box split into 4 on the key) and press R

  2. In the search programs box type \\DATABASE SERVER (noted above)\icap\setup.exe and press return

  3. Click on Install

  4. Click on OK

  5. The Informatica icon should now be on the desktop

Windows 7

Windows 7 is no longer supported and it’s use is strongly discouraged as:

  1. As an unsupported OS Microsoft no longer provide updates; which may leave your systems vulnerable to attack.

  2. Informatica can not provide support for this operating system.
