Is the error message generated on just 1 PC ?
If yes then please check the PC has network and Internet access
If all client PCs are displaying the SQL error: Database server not available please check the following-
Check that the Informatica server is switched on and logged on the network
If the server was switched off, switch this on, log it back onto the network and check client PCs again
Check that the Informatica server has network and Internet access - no
No Internet access, please try rebooting the server
If there’s still no Internet access after a reboot please refer to your local IT
If the Informatica server has Internet access, can you Can you log into Informatica on the Informatica server OK?
If you can log into Informatica on
the server
but not client PCs
and the server has Internet access, this is a Windows Firewall issue
. On the Informatica server, port 3306 needs adding to the firewall; please refer to your local IT
