How To Complete Health Checks Invites And Recalls

The instructions below cover how to complete a patient call in Skyline.

Logging Into Skyline

NOTE: You must log into the Skyline Desktop Connector for the results to be saved within Emis Web

  • Log into the Skyline Desktop Connector

  • If the Desktop connector is hidden

    • Click on the ^ (hidden icons) in the bottom right system tray

    • Right click the Skyline icon

    • Click login and log into Skyline (if login is greyed out you’re already logged in)

    • Click on show cues

    • Launch the web interface via the open browser application option in the Desktop Connector

Generating A Health Checks Invites Recall List

NOTE, Recalls should NOT be downloaded in the Health Check Activity This Year cohort as this includes all patients 40-74, eligible and ineligible.

This will produce a box showing the fields that can be downloaded into an excel document

  • Save As - you can change the default file name (the file will be an Excel file)

  • The boxes show the data fields that can be downloaded for each patient

  • Select All and Select None buttons can be used to speed up the selection

    • You can click on Select All or Select None to clear all boxes and just chose those you want exporting

    • Tick all the required boxes you want downloading (e.g. NHS No, DOB)

  • Clicking on download will create the excel file and open a windows dialogue box

    • Browse to the folder where you want the document file to be saved

      • Click on save

This file can be used as an input for a mail merge to produce letters or as an input to a programme to send SMS or email messages

NOTE: This operation is outside of the Skyline programme

Adding An Invite Code Into The Patients Clinical Record

Once the patient invites have been generated, you’ll want to add a code into the patients clinical record.

  • With the cohort still filtered select "Add code To Patients"

    • A box will open with codes that can be added to the patient records

    • Select the required code and click on the Add Code button

  • The code will be added to all patients listed in the cohort filter

    • Note, if there’s an error adding the codes into Emis Web, the codes will be saved in Pending Data ready for posting once the issue has been resolved. Please contact support@ishealth.co.uk and advise on the error generated

  • The cohort will be updated with the invite codes the next time Skyline receives data from the clinical system; this is usually within 24 to 48 hours.
