Informatica are sorry to hear that your practice will no longer be using the FrontDesk Appointment system, we thank you for your support over the years.

Please contact Informatica Support and advise on your intentions to migrate to a different appointments system as weā€™ll need to update your account to prevent further invoices being generated. You will also need to contact your CCG ad request that they cancel FrontDesk as this is funded under GPITF.

Securing A Full Backup Of The Informatica Software

Itā€™s very important that your practice preserves a full backup of the database and stores this in a location which is accessible to the practice should the current Informatica server be decommission and a rebuild of the data is needed for legal reasons. You must also note the current version of Informatica you're running should a rebuild be required.

The location of your current full backup can be found in Settings | System Settings | Full backup - the path will be listed.Ā

Alternatively if you'd prefer to run a fresh full backup when everyone is logged out of the software, this is available in :-Ā  Support | Administration program (1 click) | Utilities | Make Full Backup | Select the folder to store the zip file | OK

We recommend that you keep the full backup in a safe location. You may choose to save the backup on a shared drive which is backed up by your local IT, alternatively you could save the zip file to an encrypted USB stick and keep this in a safe location along with the Informatica version number.

Note, once the FrontDesk license expires you can view the FrontDesk appointment system in read only mode by going into Utilities | FrontDesk Appointment Book.
