Windows 10 Firewall Exception

Windows 10 Firewall Exception

If you’re able to open Informatica on the Windows 10 Informatica server but are seeing fatal errors on all client PCs, this is a firewall issue. The Windows 10 firewall is blocking access to port 3306 which the MYSQL database uses.

How to add a port exception to the Windows 10 firewall

  1. Navigate to Control Panel > System and Security > Windows Firewall 2. Click on Advanced Settings 3. Highlight Inbound Rules in the left pane 4. Right click Inbound Rules and select New Rule 5. Select Port and click Next 6. Select TCP protocol 7. In Specific local ports type 3306 and click Next 8. Select Allow the connection and click Next 9. Select the network type Domain and click Next. 10. Name the rule MYSQL Port 3306 and click Finish.

Access across the network to \Informatica Server Name\iCAP share is also required
